Interested in volunteering in Uganda? Safari with a purpose

Safari is a Swahili word that means “a journey”.  Outreach to Africa hosts visitors from all over the globe from many backgrounds and disciplines. If you are able to travel internationally, OTA’s Volunteer Safaris will provide you with a wide spectrum of opportunities to contribute at a grassroots level.

Outreach to Africa welcomes volunteers with skills in Health Care, Business, Construction, Carpentry, Culinary Arts, Education, Pastoral Care and Ministry, Sports, Agriculture & Farming, Sewing, Art, Music, and IT technology. Whatever your skill set, you have something to give!

Volunteers can help to distribute supplies, renovate buildings, volunteer in  schools, orphanages, medical clinics, churches…there are endless possibilities and countless opportunities to work with local communities.

Humanitarian Safaris

You can use your profession, talents, gifts, and passion to serve. Join us on o Humanitarian or Medical or Gospel Safari.  SEE the people, HEAR the stories, FEEL the joy of serving and TOUCH the communities. Come and experience Africa.

After volunteering, you will be personally guided to a real game drive, to either Queen Elizabeth or Murchison Falls Game Parks. For those with extra time, interest and $$, a Gorilla tracking  experience can also be organized. All our Safaris are customized and personally guided with experienced tour guides.

Medical Safaris

We are grateful for our partnership with EMIRATES AIRLINE FOUNDATION. OTA is the number one recipient of Skywards miles over the years. These miles        have been used to ship drugs worth half a million dollars donated by SKYLINK AVIATION, and to annually bring medical professionals to Uganda. Together, we have met the needs of the vulnerable and the forgotten in our world. The   donation of free air travel, medical supplies, and lifesaving medications have    impacted whole communities and saved lives.

These cross-cultural partnerships benefit all involved. Everyone who participates experiences immeasurable personal and professional growth. Doctors and nurses from around the globe have had an opportunity to work     together to deliver the very best healthcare possible to the rural communities. There are limited opportunities for qualified medical professionals, with valid medical licenses, to receive complimentary air travel.  Email your request.
